Pekanbaru – PT Sumber Agrindo Sejahtera (SAS) distributor of  PT Hanampi Sejahtera Kahuripan (HSK) launched the new generation of fertilizer (Haracoat, Haracoat MX, SCU) in Aryaduta Hotel,  Pekanbaru, Saturday (13/10). This high innovation product can increase the economic value and efficiency as well as higher production for oil palm plantation and other horticulture crops in Pekanbaru.

President Director of PT SAS, Yudi Limardi said, “Haracoat is compound fertilizer (NPK) coated with sulfur in which the nutrients released are controlled slowly so the nutrients are always available when the crops need them.

Meanwhile, MX Haracoat is the blending of NPK fertilizer where N element is urea granule sulfur coated, P element using MAP granule, and K using KCL granule.” “Haracoat MX,  the pure single fertilizer granule that has been blended together so the release of nutrients can be controlled,” he said.

He said, “the fertilizer coating technology has been used long time ago in the world, butthe high cost because it uses polyurethane and polyolefin materials. Coating material from sulfur costs less. Sulfur element is desperately needed by oil palm because it can increase oil content from FFB. Therefore the usage of sulfur as a fertilizer coating is the right solution."

Single fertilizer urea generally volatilized and melted easily, but with sulfur coating, the usage can be more economical and efficient. The release of nutrients can be controlled, so urea will not easily volatilized and washed away by the rain, thus the availability of nutrients for plants are fulfilled. Oil palm requires complete and balance nutrition.
